Set on a spectacular backdrop over-looking one of the most impressive surf beaches in North Cornwall, Beach Break Live is a bona fide celebration of life.

Beach Break Live 2008 are now pleased to announce The Enemy, The Wombats, The Cribs, One Night Only, Does It Offend You Yeah?, The Metros, Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong, Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, Johnny Flynn and Babyhead to the live stage. Plus DJs sets in the Forest of Kernow from the mighty Mr Scruff, Plump DJ’s, Scratch Perverts, Stanton Warriors, Freestylers, Skream and MC’s Sway and Dynamite. With more bands and DJ’s still to be announced.

As around 5,000 students make the beautiful Polzeath their 3-day home to celebrate the end of exams and the beginning of the summer for the student friendly price of £79, this killer line-up is not the only gem in the BBL experience, as they lay on some top BBL style festival fun.... get ready for The Mighty Cornish Goblet (everything from sheep racing to hay bail hurling), The Ticket to Ride Surf Championships, eco-friendly hot tubs, outdoor activities and adrenalin pursuits, the big fancy dress finale and their very own private path to the beach! Being a very green and organic festival they will be keeping their impact on the environment low and their focus on local sourcing and supporting the local area high – including well priced locally sourced food and beer! Keeping to their roots, the community vibe that earned BBL a nomination for 'Best New Festival’ (in the 2007 UK festival awards) will live on.

Beach Break Live first made its appearance on the festival circuit last summer in June 2007. With the success of last years festival under their belt the two young entrepreneurs behind BBL, Celia Norowzian (24) and Ian Forshew (25) both graduates of The University of Birmingham, appeared on BBC2’s Dragons’ Den programme in November 2007.

They presented their plans and projections for the UK’s first student-only festival and won over all four of the tough Dragons and caused a bidding war to arise. Out of the four offers made to them on the show they chose to go with Peter Jones’ deal. However, in a bold move, the dynamic duo since declined his offer and concluded a deal with Outgoing Ltd the student event and travel specialist best known for staging the infamous Snowbombing Festival in Mayrhofen.

The couple have also become the subject of a high profile BBC documentary, tracking the making of Beach Break Live and the exciting twists and turns along the way. Watch out for this broadcast early in the summer!

They will be announcing more bands and DJ’s over the coming weeks, but for now here’s a little more of a taster of what you can expect to have fun with at Beach Break Live.
